Rift in the time-space continuum.

Been listening to my ballroom showcase song and newest bellydance choreography song on a loop for about an hour, trying to start to memorize the music, if not the steps.  Why does the 2 1/2 minute Latin song seem so much longer than the 8 minute bellydance song?  I guess lack of confidence that I can dance to THAT makes the time strech out indeterminably.  The thing about bellydance is, if I miss a step, I can fix it (or call it improv and call it a day).  But when I miss a step with a partner, I end up on his foot, or in a headlock (happened twice today!).
